ToggleSome Rules to Play Ice Hockey
Ice hockey is a fast and physically demanding team sport played on ice. There are a total of six players (including the goalie) on the ice at any given time for each team. Players attempt to score by shooting a hard rubber puck into the net of the opposite team.
The squad with the most goals is declared the winner. The following are some of the most basic rules of ice hockey:
Offside occurs when a player enters the attacking zone before the puck has been dropped. When a player crosses into the offensive zone before the puck, they are considered “offside” and the play is stopped.
When a player from one team shoots the puck alone past the opposing team’s goal line without receiving any help from his teammates, this is called “icing” and play is stopped.
Minor penalties, such as tripping or hooking an opponent, result in a two-minute suspension. Any violent play, like as fighting or hitting an opponent from behind, will result in game misconduct and a five-minute penalty.
If a member of the opposing team is sent to the penalty box, the team with the extra player is said to be “on a power play” and will have a numerical advantage on the ice.
At the beginning of each period and after each goal, play is restarted with a face-off at one of nine face-off spots around the ice. When the puck is placed between two opposing players by the referee, play officially begins.

When Ice Hockey Game End on a Tie
In ice hockey, a tie results in a single point for each side and is simply called a “tie game.” The team that loses in overtime or a shootout may receive an extra point in some leagues.
If the score is still tied at the end of regulation time, most leagues will play an overtime period with sudden death. If the game goes into overtime, the team that scores first will be declared the victor and awarded a bonus point.
After the extra time if neither team scores, a shootout will be used to choose a victor. In a shootout, each team’s goaltender gets one shot at the opposing team’s net.
The most goals scored determine the winner of a shootout. Find out the required documents and information required to approve your Canada visa for Italy citizens.
